Devon Myrick is currently serving a second term as the City of Austell Ward 2 Councilman, and first term as Mayor Pro Tem. He and his familymoved to The City of Austell 18 years ago. Devon grew up playing soccer, baseball, football, and swimming for The City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation. Years later, he continues unwavering dedication to Cobb and Atlanta Parks and Recreation as a volunteer.

Devon has served as a sports official for the past 20 years. After graduating from the Atlanta Public Schools System, he went on to study at Mechanical Trade Institute. He has worked both union and non-union as a Plumber and is currently Facilities Maintenance Supervisor with The City of Atlanta in The Department of Enterprise Assets Management.

Devon has leveraged his organization Myrick Management, for which he serves as Director, as a platform to assist the underprivileged in sports organizations. In addition, he has also created ‘youth zones’ that provide family-based activities and mentoring to Austell and Cobb County's younger generation. Mr. Myrick has coached for The City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation, Cobb County Parks and Recreation, South Cobb Junior Eagles, and Woodward Academy under his son Head Coach Terry Myrick while helping to prepare young people for college and professional sports.

Councilman Myrick is a member of Georgia Municipal Association, Cobb Municipal Association, The National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) and the United States Flag & Touch Football League (USFTL). In addition, Devon has won numerous flag football national championships playing with Soul Patrol and Yung Crew USFTL teams. In November of 2025 Devon was inducted into the Atlanta Flag Football Inaugural Class.

Devon and his wonderful wife Eboni have been married since 1999. They have two sons: Terry Myrick and Tyree Myrick.
